Projects & Programs Annual EPICS Research and Publishing Project: Each year we publish a comprehensive checklist of current green change transformation tips for organizations that help lower costs & improve environmental impacts. The 2009 list includes 104 ways for organizations to be more earth friendly. Our recommendations are more thought out than general ‘green office tip lists’. They include an environmentally relevant question related to organizational behavior, why the question was asked, what our specific recommendations are relative to the question, & the direct way to implement our recommendation. Green Job Training Affiliate Program: In partnership with the Earth Savers Institute, we have created what we believe to be an industry leading green job training & green job creation platform that standardizes the evolving ‘green consultant industry’. GECKO’s methodology, research, & goodwill are all incorporated to assist green change consultants in advancing their training aims & business development. The Corporate Kindness Experts Program: Based upon the ‘Experts as Volunteers’ model of Doctors without Borders, GECKO’s experts program enlists the volunteer commitments of environmental subject matter experts such as environmental scientists, contamination remediation engineers, urban food co-op executives, renewable energy engineers, etc… to assist with the projects of outside groups to accelerate and promote positive environmental change projects. This program is proving remarkably effective & popular and we are actively seeking funding to scale this program nationwide. Organizational Green Change Projects: GECKO helps organizations transform their environmental flaws and cost inefficiencies into ‘environmentally-friendly strategic competitive advantages’. Green change projects have been performed for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, The Providence Housing Authority, Nail Communications, and many more. These projects can generate so many powerful environmental positives, PR benefits, & cost savings that the demand for in depth assistance from GECKO currently outstrips our ability to deliver these services. We are seeking funding to automate the first 2 stages of our 5 stage process. This will exponentially increase our ability to effect green change. |
